We can help you take the next step in living life.

Being a mom of a blended family can be quite a challenge with many intricate dynamics and complexities. Understanding your family needs and learning to navigate meeting those needs are essential skills in preserving a healthy and happy family environment.

We find that many step families have similar needs and face the same issues. Below are some common questions you may be asking yourself on a daily basis.

Questions to Ask Yourself

  • How can I create security and trust within our new stepfamily?
  • What are things I can do to help my family communicate openly, honestly, and often?
  • How can I keep all parents contributing in raising the children despite the interpersonal and uncomfortable challenges this will present?
  • What are ways I can instill family unity?
  •  How can we overcome the differences in our parenting approaches and how we discipline?
  • How can I establish appropriate boundaries in areas such as school work, and household responsibilities?

There are no easy answers here.  However, keeping these questions in mind you can develop strategies on how to move forward.  Also, at Living Life, we can work with you in addressing the issues you are facing in your blended family.
