Premarital Christian counseling is the best antidote to avoid marriage counseling or potential divorce. Currently, a little over half of all first marriages end in divorce. Sadly, couples that marry without having premarital counseling are at much higher risk of divorce. The majority of married couples report they either declined or were not made aware of counseling before marriage.
There is an old folk tale about a bird and fish who were in love, but they were not compatible to live in each others environment. Premarital counseling allows the couple a future view before they say… “I do.” Consider taking the time in premarital counseling to get one step closer in living the life of your dreams.
When facilitating premarital counseling, we have the couple individually complete a 150 question couples inventory. This questionnaire will help you gain insight into to areas you may or may not be in agreement with as a couple. These areas include:
In addition, we incorporate the use of a
premarital christian counseling marriage preparation manual titled, “Before You Say “I Do” by Norman Wright and Wes Roberts to focus on any disagreements discovered in the couples inventory. This will help couples become more aware of each other differences and the opportunity to discuss and strengthen those areas.
